NATURAL CLIMATE CONTROL
Temperature regulation.
Wool’s particular strength lies in its ability to respond to varying climatic conditions.
The specific structure of the wool fiber creates tiny air pockets. These act as insulation and help to balance out temperature differences.
At the same time, the material remains highly breathable.
This makes high-quality virgin wool particularly versatile: it protects against the cold without trapping heat unnecessarily.
MOISTURE MANAGEMENT
Highly effective at wicking away sweat.
Physical exertion generates heat and moisture in horses. Especially in cooler outdoor temperatures, it is important to wick this moisture away from the body in a controlled manner.
Wool fibers can absorb a significant amount of moisture—in the form of water vapor—relative to their own weight without feeling wet to the touch.
The moisture is absorbed into the fiber and subsequently released back into the surrounding air.
This allows the horse to dry more evenly and cool down gradually, while the material retains its insulating properties, creating an optimal microclimate.

THE WOOL FIBRE
Why wool remains effective even when damp.
With many materials, moisture significantly alters the sensation of warmth.
Wool, by contrast, has a complex fiber structure capable of absorbing moisture while continuing to trap insulating air between the fibers.
This allows the material to help maintain a more balanced climate between the horse's body and the rug, even in damp conditions.
The goal is not maximum warmth, but rather a balanced temperature and moisture level. This is particularly beneficial for horses that tend to sweat heavily.
THE RIGHT WEIGHT
Not too heavy. Not too light.
For our wool products, we use a fabric with a weight deliberately chosen to fall between very light and particularly heavy wool grades.
In terms of thickness, it is roughly comparable to a mid-weight fleece cooler rug—yet it offers the added natural properties of high-quality virgin wool.
This makes many of our wool products suitable for use over a particularly long period of the year: in winter, during the transitional seasons, and on cooler summer evenings alike.
NATURALLY PRACTICAL
Less odor. Less maintenance.
Wool also demonstrates interesting natural properties in everyday use.
Its complex fiber surface and moisture-management capabilities ensure that odors develop far less than with many synthetic materials.
Often, simply airing out wool products thoroughly after use is sufficient, rather than washing them immediately.
This reduces unnecessary wash cycles while simultaneously preserving the material and conserving resources.
PRE-WASHED
Shape retention begins before the cutting stage.
The processing of our wool fabrics starts well before the final product is created.
During production, the material is pre-washed and steamed before being cut and sewn.
This ensures that a significant portion of the material's natural transformation occurs prior to actual manufacturing.
Only then are our wool products crafted from the fabric.
For us, this step is also part of quality: understanding and preparing the material before processing it.
CARE
Airing out the item is often the best form of care.
Wool does not need to be washed after every use.
After use, it is recommended to air the product out thoroughly in fresh air and allow it to dry completely.
If washing is necessary, our suitable wool products can be washed on the wool cycle using wool detergent and a maximum spin speed of 300 rpm.
Afterwards, dry flat whenever possible.
Gentle care preserves the wool's natural properties and contributes to the product's longevity.
